| Hints:
Christmas & Birthdays: Write a list of present ideas - items/ treats you would like or need - and give this to family and friends, to avoid those unwanted gifts. If you don't need or want any more 'things', ask for a voucher for a beauty treatment or a trip to the theatre or cinema.
Everyday for a month: Spend five minutes each day for one month in your problem room/ cupboard/ area to clear a path or surface or drawer. By the end of the month, you'll have a space to be proud of.
Fifteen at a time: Walk through your home armed with two big plastic bags – go round your home and find 15 items for the rubbish bag and 15 items for the second hand shop. Do this on a regular basis and you will find you manage your home better.
Time limits: If you know you are not keen on the idea of tackling the clutter, put on an alarm to ring after 15 minutes and declutter for that time; then the task will not seem so daunting.
